Providence is served by the T.F. Green International Airport, which is about a 20-30 minute taxi or car service (Uber, Lyft) ride away from the Brown campus and downtown Providence.

However, most international arrivals will land at Boston Logan Airport (about 53 miles / 85 km from Providence), New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (186 miles or 296 km) or Newark Liberty International Airport (194 miles or 312 km). 

There are different transportation options connecting these airports to Providence, including AMTRAK rail service, MBTA (from Logan Airport), or different shuttle services. Different options can be identified through an online search.

• On-campus: Everyday wear for ordinary campus activities are typically informal, with casual wear (including jeans and T-shirts, light jackets) being the norm
• Formal wear: Suits & dresses are important to have for formal events/receptions and for interviews
• Winter wear: Sweaters, a warm winter coat, hat, scarf, ear muffs and gloves are essential in the winter months
• Footwear: Sneakers, sandals, and at least one pair of formal footwear is recommended; during the winter, a warm pair of snow boots is necessary.
